Marika Harris
Physiotherapist & Personal Trainer
My approach to personal training is rooted in a deep understanding of human movement, shaped by my background as a physiotherapist and experience in powerlifting. I want people to feel confident in how their bodies move and function - developing trust, connection, and a true understanding of their physical selves. I love teaching the "why" behind the work by explaining why we move the way we do, and why we train the way we do, so you can build the knowledge and confidence to train not just for now, but for life.
I design training to support a wide range of goals, whether it's building maximal strength, mastering movement in the gym, improving speed and agility for sport, or adapting workouts to fit your current movement capacity. My approach is always individualized, focused on functional and sustainable progress that lasts.
My years playing competitive volleyball inspired me to pursue a Bachelor's in Human Kinetics, which lead to work as a kinesiologist before I went on to earn my Masters of Physical Therapy. Currently, I compete in powerlifting and also try to fit om as many other ways of moving my body as I can in the week, including hiking, yoga, cycling, spin class, Pilates and whatever else I feel inspired to try!
